Fire Code Inspections

Fire Code Inspections are offered as a community service by Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One through a contract with the City of Gig Harbor to all business occupancies within the City Limits.  We hope you will see this an an opportunity to learn more about the numerous ways you can protect your business investment and your customers from the devastating effects of fire.

The following list is provided to help you prepare for your annual fire code inspection.  About two weeks before we inspect your place of business we will notify you by mail.  Please complete the contact information sheet that is enclosed in that correspondence so that we can update our occupancy contact information.  The contact information is kept private and used by fire officers only in the event of a fire or disaster that affects your facility.  The information is not made available to any other agency.

IF you have any questions about this list or about the Fire Code sections that are quoted, please give me a call

      (253) 851-0316 and ask for Steve Bowman, Prevention Specialist.

If you would like assistance in scheduling an inspection, please call  (253) 851-5111.
