Station Tours are available to all groups and individuals. Tours must be scheduled in advance to assure availability of fire department staff. Call 851-5111 to schedule your tour
We are often asked if groups can hold a birthday party in one of our stations. We cannot facilitate a party, but you can schedule a tour in conjunction with a party. Meet at the station before the party or after the party as part of the party activities. We will honor the birthday child during the tour. We are often asked to provide a special lesson as part of the tour, such as first aid information for a scouting badge. When you call in advance to schedule your tour, let us know about your special request and we will try to facilitate the lesson. Please limit requests to fire and injury prevention topics. We offer the Learn Not To Burn Preschool Fire Prevention Curriculum free to all area daycare and preschools. The program helps teachers familiarize their students with 7 fire safety behaviors for 3-5 year old children. Participation in the program also includes a visit from a fire engine or aid car crew. The final lesson in the program is called "The Fire Fighter is a Community Helper". A fire department crew will review the first 7 lessons with the students, then provide them with a tour of either an engine or an aid unit as a special conclusion to the program.
