Welcome to the University Place Fire Department (UPFD). University Place is approximately 50 miles south of Seattle and 40 miles North of Olympia on Puget Sound. We are West of Tacoma and readily accessible by Interstate 5 or Highway 16.
The fire department serves approximately 7.86 square miles and 31,000 people.
UPFD has 2 stations staffed 24 hours a day. These stations provide Emergency Medical and Fire Suppression services. Prevention, Public Education, and Administration services are located at the Public Safety Building.
