2008 Fire Prevention Week |
Fire Prevention Week is October 5-11th, 2008
This year's theme is Prevent Home Fires
Each year University Place Fire Department runs a Fire Prevention Week contest for Grades 1-4 in the U.P. School District. Classes with 100% participation can win a pizza party at the fire station. One lucky student will win a Ride to School on a Fire Engine.

Safe Sitter
This popular class is offered by the University Place Fire Department twice a year. Safe Sitter is a medically accurate program that teaches boys and girls age 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for young children. The Best Babysitter is a SAFE SITTER.
